Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones GMC Medic uses, and how you can control them. This Policy is part of our Privacy Policy.
GMC Medic is operated by Nyvion LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”).
1. What Cookies Are (Brief Version)
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your browser. They can be useful (keeping you signed in), neutral (remembering preferences), or invasive (tracking you across sites for advertising).
We'll skip the long primer — what matters is what GMC Medic actually does, which is in the next section.
2. Cookies We Use
GMC Medic uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.
Specifically, our cookies are:
| Cookie Name | Set By | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-access-token | Supabase (our authentication provider) | Keeps you signed in to your GMC Medic account | Session |
sb-refresh-token | Supabase | Allows your session to refresh without requiring you to sign in again | Persistent (up to 1 year) |
sb-{project-ref}-auth-token | Supabase | Stores authentication state for your session | Persistent (up to 1 year) |
These cookies are essential to operate the Service. Without them, you would not be able to sign in to your account or stay logged in across page navigations.
3. What We Don't Use
To be specific about what we don't do:
- •We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics or advertising tools.
- •We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
- •We do not set cookies for advertising or marketing purposes.
- •We do not share cookie data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Policy, present a cookie consent banner where required by law (including for users in the EU/UK), and obtain your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
4. Server Logs (Not Cookies, but Worth Mentioning)
Our hosting provider, Vercel, logs server requests for security and debugging purposes. These logs include your IP address, browser user agent, the page or API endpoint requested, and the response code. Server logs are retained for 30 days. They are not used for analytics, profiling, or advertising.
5. Why We Don't Show a Cookie Banner
Under EU and UK ePrivacy rules (and the EU GDPR / UK GDPR), consent banners are required for non-essential cookies. Because GMC Medic uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication, no consent banner is required.
This may change in the future if we add analytics or other non-essential cookies. We will notify you and present a banner before doing so.
6. How to Control Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- •Chrome: Manage cookies in Chrome
- •Safari: Manage cookies in Safari
- •Firefox: Manage cookies in Firefox
- •Edge: Manage cookies in Edge
If you block or delete our strictly necessary authentication cookies, you will not be able to sign in to GMC Medic.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our Service does not respond to Do Not Track (“DNT”) browser signals because we don't track you to begin with. We do not use cross-site tracking technologies, so DNT is effectively a no-op on our domain.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal where applicable; however, because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, GPC has no practical effect on our practices.
8. Changes to This Policy
We update this Cookie Policy when our practices change. If we add a new cookie category — analytics, advertising, or anything beyond strictly necessary — we will notify you and, where required by law, request your consent before setting it.
