Why this exists
After my e-commerce store was suspended from Google Merchant Center for misrepresentation, I had no idea what specifically triggered it, and Google's documentation didn't make it any clearer. I joined merchant groups looking for help — and found people who'd been suspended for months. Some for over a year. Nobody seemed to have a clear path back.
I hired a freelancer from Fiverr to fix it. They got my store reinstated. Then within weeks, I was suspended again, because they didn't actually understand the underlying problem — they patched what they could see and missed what they couldn't. I'd burned an appeal and was back where I started.
That's when it hit me: nobody in this space was building a tool that actually understood the compliance triggers behind a suspension. There were audit apps that listed feed errors. There were services that submitted appeals on your behalf. There wasn't anything that walked a merchant through why they got suspended, what to change, and how to keep it from happening again.
So I built it. GMC Medic scans your store for the specific issues that cause suspension — across your products, your policies, your business identity, and your technical setup. It explains each one in plain language, walks you through fixing it, and monitors for the kind of changes that cause suspensions — so you can fix them before Google notices, not after.
You only get three strikes from Google. After that, it's permanent. Most merchants don't know they've burned one or two until it's too late. I built GMC Medic because the cost of a mistake here can be years of hard work, and I didn't want any merchant to lose theirs the way I almost lost mine.
Why this matters
Three strikes is all Google gives you. After that, the store is gone.
Years of work, customer relationships, inventory commitments, vendor agreements — all of it disappears. For a merchant whose revenue depends on Google Shopping traffic, this isn't an inconvenience. It's the end of the business.
The existing options were a coin flip with someone else's business on the line, and that wasn't acceptable.
What we built
GMC Medic scans, describes, and monitors the specific signals that cause GMC suspensions — so merchants can see exactly what's wrong, fix it themselves, or hand a clear remediation plan to whoever helps them.
No black box. No “trust us, we know what we're doing.” Just the actual data, in plain language, with appeal letter drafts you can review and send yourself.
We made two commitments we will not break:
- •We never auto-submit appeals to Google on your behalf. Every appeal letter requires your review and your action to send.
- •We never auto-apply fixes to your Shopify store. Every recommended change requires your explicit, per-fix approval. The product shows you what could change. You decide whether to change it.
These aren't marketing copy. They're product principles. They're how we ensure that when something goes wrong — and in compliance work, something always eventually goes wrong — it's a decision you made, not a decision a tool made for you while you weren't looking.
Who we are
GMC Medic is operated by Nyvion LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. We're a small team. There is no support queue. There is no chatbot in the middle. If you email us at support@getgmcmedic.com, a real person reads it and responds.
What we're not
We're not affiliated with Google or Shopify. We don't have inside contacts at either company. We can't “talk to someone” for you. What we can do is tell you, accurately and specifically, what's wrong with your account and give you the best possible shot at fixing it yourself.
How we're different from the alternatives
| What you might be using | What's wrong with it | What GMC Medic does |
|---|---|---|
| Fiverr / Upwork “GMC reinstatement experts” | Patches surface issues. Doesn't diagnose root cause. Re-suspension rate is high. | Identifies root cause violations across product, policy, identity, and trust signals. |
| Manual checking against Google's policy docs | Time-intensive. Policy interpretation is ambiguous. Easy to miss things. | Automated scanning against the full set of published policies, with severity scoring. |
| Waiting and hoping | One more strike means termination. | Continuous monitoring so issues are caught before they trigger a third strike. |
| Generic Shopify apps | Optimize for conversion. Don't understand GMC compliance specifically. | Built specifically for the GMC suspension problem. Nothing else. |
